there is not such thing as looking cool while gaming

What wireless options can you get close to this price point? I think this is a good starter and you can replace stuff as you go. Also, you never have to worry about charging anything.

The headset alone is worth $40.

Is this sub-par quality? Tons of these on eBay for $36-$40 shipped new. I know Razer has gone downhill in terms of quality, but the entire bundle is cheaper than a basic Logitech gaming mouse.

I have an 11-year-old that wants to look cool playing Minecraft as he gets into the gaming world-- is this setup worth the $40 or is it better to splurge for the wireless options?

I was coming to this thread to see the responses on this exact issue. Know multiple friends that have had issues with newer razor equipment, even high end controllers and headsets. I know some still appear not to have issues, but for me, I'd be looking at something else even for this price point.

I was hoping the keyboard was mechanical, but it is not. Not a terrible deal if you need everything that is bundled.

For the headphones, does anyone know if we need to purchase a 3.5mm Y splitter for a desktop to use the mic?

I grabbed this last time it was at this price. The DA mouse is ok compared to the V2/newer DA's but the rest of the bundle is really solid

At $40 for the entire bundle nobody should be expecting full mechanical. Costco did have a bundle last year with the Blackwidow V3 mechanical and a Viper mouse/other peripherals at $99, which was a solid deal. I expect we may see it again soon here.
