2% cashback is not bad, although citi double cashback has the same, but offers $200 for opening that credit card.

There is a different blue apply now button in the upper right, which I'm guessing leads you somewhere else and which may not get you the credit.
She got the credit about a day or two after buying an item, when the charge posted.
I had her sign up for apple cash, since it says it credits there and you have to manually enable that separately.
