Still a good audiobook IMO, but the ownership story isn't as good as through something like libro.fm.

While I absolutely love this version…it isn't the same thing being advertised. I'm at the point of loving this so much that I'm excited to hear different readings of it. This is my current favorite version.

Entertaining read (or listen) and much better than the Peter Jackson ridiculous 543 hour movie that added 2,392 new story lines. Haven't heard this particular reading but worth a try at the price.

Mine was $1.99… not 100% on version but seems cool and I'm *really* picky on voice actors.

*Normally, I prefer Kindles do TTS vs voice acting… old men doing weird voices (ex: high pitched girls) really destroys the immersion…

From what I've heard Andy S. Neither over nor under "acts" this… That is a crazy good compliment for me… 😅🤷🏻 ♂️🤦🏻 ♂️🤦🏻 ♂️🤦🏻 ♂️

Andy serkis is amazing in this. And reminder through Alexa you can listen to the fellowship narrated by Andy for free through October.. 13? I think.

Thanks for the info! At this price I think I'll still get it but it's much easier to listen in the car when I don't have to fumble about with my phone.

FWIW i got this a few weeks back along with the whole fellowship set when they were on audible sale. It was awesome and i already moved on from hobbit to book 1 of the trilogy. Andy is amazing, and not just for gollum parts, thats just icing on the cake

If you're semi tech savy, you can find an extension to download mp3 file. Each mp3 file is based on chapters
