reviews say narrow Hydroflask caps fit. Good option for backups or to get caps that have hooks, handles, etc.

In for 1. OXO makes good stuff.

I've noticed that nicer double insulated bottles (yeti, oxo) are dishwasher safe but the cheaper ones (contigo) are not. Usually, premium brands and discounted brands have identical performance but in this case, there is some difference.

Don't really think there is a difference in dishwasher-safeness, just a difference in recommendations. Personally I would not put these into a dishwasher. I have sets of brushes which along with hot water will do a better job of periodic cleaning. Also there are "tricks" using baking soda, and other things, to do a more thorough cleaning occasionally.

The main "dishwasher" warnings have to do with the heater element at the bottom of traditional US-model dishwashers. If you place something on the bottom rack, it may be sitting 1-2" above a hot heating element that is just like an electric oven element. In the old days this would melt some plastic elements or damage finishes. I think the new ones are better and some high-end dishwashers use a different forced-air drying system. So I'd say buy these "cheap" ones and put them in the dishwasher if you really want; I don't think they would be affected either more or less than the ones you mention.
