I have a couple aneroids right now, very painful.
I love mine. The speakers are amazing and battery life is great . I took a few pics and it looks good too.
If I remember correctly...

1. Turn on the phone without sim
2. Settings
3. Connections
4. Network Unlock
5. Select Permanent Unlock
6. Done

Traded on the "old" Oneplus 7 Pro for a $190 trade in credit... (they gave me more for the 7 pro than for the 8)...
How did you get $190 for the 7 Pro?

I'm quite satisfied with my oneplus 6 except for the fact that the battery is getting bad.
sucks that they make these phones and the batteries go after 2-3 years.
So for $269 with trade in, this is tempting.

I'm using it on Mint.
Even if it didnt unlock from T-mobile, would it work on a t-mobile mvno?
I had the same issue but I bought a battery+kit from amazon and changed it myself with YouTube instructions. So worth it to keep the op6!

Does the Tmo version (ie. updates lag the main version) have a fix yet for Microsoft Intune/Work Portal? The non-Tmo version was finally fixed a few weeks ago (from what I can find), but so far I can't find anything to indicate Tmo has signed on the equivalent fix for the Tmo branch of software...

Not "t-mobile unlocked" but "t-mobile unlock"? Does that mean t-mobile has to unlock it? Since you are buying it outright can you unlock it right away without using it on t-mobile? Or is it just a typo?
Every T-Mobile phone I have ever bought directly from OnePlus let me unlock it permanently with no issues from settings

Those durability test are not real world situations no matter even if they like to think they are.

Anyone with personal experience with their 9 pro?
I have one and it is a fantastic phone.. I've had Samsung's, LG, Motorola and tinkered with Iphone.. By far the 9pro is the best.. fast, reliable, takes fantastic pics.. I've had no issues so far with this phone

I gave up on everything oneplus related. Just too many issues. Some small some major. The original idea that brought me to oneplus just isn't there anymore.

Just a $140 trade in on the 8T. Weird. I had the 9Pro from bestbuy when its was $7xx. Great camera, the matte back finish was a delight to hold. The display was slightly curved but not as much as Samsung used to do. It's slim, sleek and stylish. Good deal OP.

My experience with a OP 8T T-Mobile version was difficult.
The phone was lock and the T-Mobile FB and TW accounts told me the same (I need to expend at least 60usd on a service or 6 months in T-Mobile).

I tried several times the "Network Unlock" option from the settings but did not work (Says that my device was not selected for this kind of Unlock).

The workaround that worked for me was to purchase a plan ($40usd/month) with the T-Mobile sim card on the phone (I was expecting to consume the $60usd for the unlock). But for an unknown reason the calls were working 90% of the time and the data roaming did not worked because I was located in Mexico (it supposed to work in Mexico and Canada). So they ended up enabling the Unlock option on the Settings and I was able to Unlock it.

Its a great phone and I'm interested on the OP9 but I'm not sure about buying a T-Mobile variant again.
