When I can't find or need remote batteries charged I use iPhone official Roku remote app, I'm sure it's on android also. It has voice button and you can use headphones or your phone speaker for private listening. It's nice to use phone remote for private listening because that uses battery charge fast in the remote.

Many of these will not work on the Roku stick. I do use the Roku app, but if I could find a compatible remote for this price I would buy it. Correction. This is RF, not IR. It should work on the Roku stick. Ahh! Showing up at full retail. No deal here.

Yeah, the headphones private listening is nice via the app. I still prefer the remote over the app though. The app requires that I look at the screen to operate it. I can use the remote without looking and it is handy if you are in bed with the covers over your arms. I basically only use the app as a last resort.

Make sure to unplug the headphones after use if you use those. That connection eats batteries fast.
