Update: THINKOUT now yields a better discount than the previous THINK30ANNI code, thanks folks who commented!

Here's a sample T14s Gen 3 config, priced at $1,151.97 with coupons THINKOUT and THINKBIGDEALS. More details below on how to get this even cheaper!

Click the black "Build your PC button on this CTO listing and upgrade the CPU/RAM/Screen/Fingerprint Reader/Keyboard options to match the below sample spec:

https://lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptop...qcto1wwus1

AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 6850U Processor (2.70 GHz up to 4.70 GHz)
32 GB LPDDR5-6400MHz (Soldered)
Qualcomm Wi-Fi 6E NFA725A 2x2 AX & Bluetooth® 5.1 or above
14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 72%NTSC, 400 nits, Narrow Bezel, Low Power
4 Cell Li-Polymer Internal Battery, 57Wh
Windows 11 Home 64
FHD IR/RGB Hybrid Camera with Microphone
256 GB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 TLC Opal
Backlit Keyboard, Black - English
Fingerprint Reader
65W USB-C 90%PCC AC Adapter Black (2pin) - US
Villi Black

2.71 lbs

Spec-wise this sample config above is similar to the psref config that has ~20hr of battery life with MobileMark 18

"MobileMark® 2018: up to 19.52 hr with 707 performance score @200nits"
[lenovo.com]

The integrated graphics (680M) demolish Intel's offerings, especially with LPDDR5-6400 speed RAM, and support moderate gaming. The T14s (unlike many other Lenovo AMD models) also supports eGPUs via USB4.

The 14s makes it easy to remove the rear panel to access the SSD and upgrade it, and thus this config only settles on SSD size and OS. This is because the SSD is the most inflated part price-wise in the CTO models. I grabbed the 1TB Samsung 980 Pro for $100 from Gamestop last week (which supports Opal2) to avoid having to pay Lenovo $566 just for an SSD, while guaranteeing I get among the fastest options for a 4x4 drive and perhaps a better drive than they'd give me for $500+. Windows 10 Pro keys with free upgrades to Window 11 Pro likewise can be found cheaper than the CTO upgrade cost.

If you are a student/senior/id.me eligible member, you can get 5% more off. If you have the Amex $100 off $500 deal, this brings the price down lower still.

With id.me 5% off and access to two AMEX cards with this offer, I split payments and connected to id.me to get an additional $259 off. This brought my pre-tax cost for a 32GB/100% sRGB/6850u T14s to $928.36.

For months, trade-offs had to be made when ordering this AMD Lenovo Thinkpad T14s. You had to either settle for 16GB of non-upgradable RAM to get a screen with good colors, or settle for a poor color or privacy guard screen to get 32GB of RAM. I'm thrilled a CTO option is now possible, hope others are too!

Check your AMEX offers for 100 off 500 offer at Lenovo. Can split payment with two cards to get an additional $200 off this way if you have two cards with the offer added.

Yes you can swap the 256GB drive with a bigger capacity (officially supports up to 2TB) M.2 2280 NVMe drive.

Yes that is also a great option, but with half the battery life (https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/...D_Spec.pdf) and no USB4. For me this option was much better as I wanted to use my Thunderbolt 3 eGPU and 1080p was worth all day battery life.

The link takes you to the configure to order (CTO), customizable T14s. Click the black "Build your PC" button and you can get the same config and price as listed in the post. I updated the OP to make this clearer Smilie

Thanks, found it. Was able to get it to 1208 after tax. This is before the 2 amex card offers stacked.

No USB4, different build quality and the 4K screen is actually an overkill for a notebook. Really not a worthy comparison in this generation of Thinkpads.

Great deal. Have had in in my cart saved as a quote since y'day thinking of buying it.

The only issues of regret I see
- Off late, Lenovo build quality has been poor. Lots of people on Redditt have been complaining about the trackpad wobble issue
- I'm really hoping that the X13 Gen 3 customizations are launched soon. With the 2.8K display on it, that is actually the perfect combo for this generation of Thinkpads.

Hoping that happens before my quote expires Big Grin

I likewise has a saved quote but found 12% cashback today which pushed me over the edge. I had been thinking I wanted to wait for an RDNA3 / Zen 4 offering in 2023, but decided it would be a long time before that would be available in an affordable and customizable config like this.

How long would it take to ship is the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger.

I'll post when I have an ETA. Lenovo returns are pretty smooth unlike HP, there's no restocking fee unless you're buying in volume and they suspect you're a reseller.

My work computer is a T14s Gen3 i7, and it's an awesome machine. I have an MBA M2, and I went ahead and bought myself an X1 Yoga Gen 7 based on my experience with that laptop and all the offers combined (Amex offer (x2), id.me, 12%CB, etc). T14s has the HD screen, and X1 Yoga has the touchscreen OLED 4K screen, which is absolutely stunning! I'm really impressed with Windows 11's scaling to the 4K resolution. the only piece of software that gave me an issue with scaling was the ancient Photoshop CS5.5.

Interesting. That does improve the case a lot. I've never used that site before. The standard ones had 10% till y'day but are now 6 and 4%. Wondering if I should make an account to get this.
