FYI their app sucks as well as their customer service.

I am using the smart bulb as a cheap sunrise light. It's a bit time consuming to program the gradual brightness levels but once that's done, the scheduling is great. I set for it to turn on gradually about 45mins before I need to wake up.

That is a bright idea.

trying to order the LED strip to flash tasmota on it, getting "max 1", so shipping kills the deal.

Does anyone know how to get past the max 1 order?

I have some of the LED strips, the color bulbs, and a smart plug. The lights are rather dim, especially with the colors. The app is not bad, if a little clunky (but it works). Customer support is about what you'd expect from a Chinese company pumping out generic smart things. For the price, you could probably do worse. For a bit more, you could get something better. I've started upgrading everything to Hue. The only thing I have left to upgrade is my LED strip (Hue strips are stupid expensive) and the outlet, though the outlet I'll probably keep since it either works or it doesn't (and it works, so not gonna replace it). I'd recommend the plug if you need one, but the LEDs are definitely get what you pay for.

I grabbed 2-four packs the other day for $8 each in store. These are decent lights. Set up is pretty simple and they integrate well with Alexa routines. I have several hue bulbs and several Merkury bulbs. Overall no issues and a steal, especially if you can find them discounted to this degree.

I've not had an issue with any of the Merkury smart bulbs, switches and plugs I've gotten for dirt cheap on clearance. They've been more reliable in maintaining connectivity than the Kasa products in the same category

In for 3 bulbs. We've been using the multi-colored Merkury bulbs with no issues for the last couple of months. I have them integrated with Alexa and use the Geeni app as well. What I like about these bulbs compared to bluetooth bulbs I had before is these reconnect to my WiFi after someone flips the physical light switch. The bluetooth ones I had would start blinking until I went through the process of repairing them which was tedious after awhile.

Any idea whether this works with Samsung Smartthings Hub?
Does not work with Smartthings. That's why I got rid of my Smartthings v3 hub. I have about 40 Merkury bulbs and strips, and I just use them with wifi, Google, and Alexa. I have very few problems running all the lights with my Orbi tri-band mesh system. A couple of times a month, I have to reboot a few. But considering how many I have, I think it's pretty good and I love them.

Pretty sure they work with Home Assistant, though. I want to buy a Hubitat (for zigbee sensors) but, from what I've seen, Merkury doesn't work with that hub, either.

Isn't the Monster LED strip a better deal than this LED strip?

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Monste.../451773131 [walmart.com]

Same 6.5ft length, and also CCT (cool + warm white) but only $4.88

EDIT: never mind, the OP is a "smart" strip, whereas the Monster is IR remote controlled
On top of not having a 'smart' controller, it also only has a single white channel vs the CW + WW in the Merkury.

I'm using a mix of Merkury, Philips Hue, Philips Wiz, Atomi, and Lifx light bulbs. The Merkury exceed my expectations considering how cheap they are, especially with their setup and response time with Google Assistant.
