This is basically the cheapest entry level avr. If you do like 10 minutes of research you'll probably find that you'll want to upgrade fairly quickly if you actually get into home theater. If you're someone who just wants to power the speakers you have so you don't have to deal with TV speakers then this will be just fine. I would recommend trying to find an older higher tier used model at a thrift store/Craigslist etc if possible.
I have this. Zero issues and it gets uncomfortably loud if I crank it, . Does freak out with pc inputs so those I have on the tv. Also Firestick 4k remote and Samsung remote both control volume on tv. Def great buy
Thank God AVRs are finally going back on sale below MSRP

Yes, it does...

All five HDMI inputs support Pure Color sub-sampling, HDR, BT.2020 pass- through, Dolby Vision compatibility and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma); full 4K Ultra HD with 60Hz pass-through and HDCP 2.2 processing.

I would recommend finding an old used one at a thrift store at that point though.
I did "some" research and this is fine for my use. Just powers the 3 speakers I have and no issues. I hardly watch movies and mostly watch YouTube or,twitch so this is fine.

I use this AVR with a 4K TV for 120hz gaming on PS5, with a 5.1 surround system, and I love it. Sounds great, and will probably outlive me.

My only gripe is that it randomly breaks from the TV and PS5 when it comes to power. At times, the AVR power button will turn off everything at once. At other times, with seemingly no change, I have to power off all 3 at separate times. Who knows what the culprit is.

Yes, it does sound like this will handle your needs perfectly fine!

Just trying to help anyone out that has that, "what if" mindset, if spending more originally is worth it in the long run.
That definitely can be the case sometimes, just depends on individual needs. I know from experience the never ending "upgrade" game that some hobbies have. Home theater can be/is one of those.

I have the AVR 750H. It was worth the step up for me to have things like Atmos to future proof it a little bit. I tend to upgrade my receiver and TV only ever 5 years or so.

Look at the photos. The second one shows they back side. There doesn't appear to be an output for a second zone.
Of course! Thanks 👍🏽

I heard they are clearing those ones out for the replacement model. Unfortunately my local Costco was still $500.
