I just got the updated COVID booster today. I urge everyone, especially those with diabetes, hypertension, lung disease, heart disease, or any immunosuppressed state, as well as older folks, to get yours ASAP. I urge everyone else to get it within the next month, so it has time to kick in by the holidays. And don't forget the flu shot - you can get it the same day if you want. We still have 2500 or so COVID deaths/week in the US; that's a lot. Being up to date on vaccine cuts your risk of hospitalization or worse by about 85%.
Unfortunately, COVID prevalence is turning sharply upward in the UK, which is usually about 2-4 weeks ahead of the US, so now is the perfect time to prepare.

The difference is that there is a mountain of scientific data to back up my position. What's backing up yours? A YouTube video from some random person who probably failed every science class they ever took? 🤣
