How good of a deal is this? Needing someone to push me towards purchasing haha. I just bought a 14tb from best buy (just an easyshare) to create a local backup but haven't opened it yet.

Previous FP deal for 16TB WD Gold was $300. This is $220/drive or $.1467/Gig. Pretty damn hot if you ask me.

Welp. I tried to place an order and used Zip Buy Now Pay Later method and got stopped with the message below.

Sorry, you are not eligible for installments with this purchase
This purchase didn't pass our customer assessment guidelines or places you above your spending limit. To complete your purchase, return to your cart and select another payment method

I can take out a $1M home mortgage but I don't qualify for $442 online purchase with Zip. Wow. Just wow.

If you choose Buy Now Pay Later payment method, you can go with either Affirm or Zip.

They don't want to lend to people who they know will never miss a payment to avoid interest. My credit score is between 750-800 and I couldn't use the promo code either.

I don't know why this is hot when amazon had it for $204.48 each brand new and no hoops to jump thru with the crappy zip pay.

It shouldn't. You need yo select the zip option to get the discount to be applied. It is not worth giving your personal info (including SSN) to a 3rd party loan company just to have 15% 1 time.

Right. I bought that exact deal, the $300 Gold drive. I now need another one, they are over $400. Trying to wait until BF but down to less then 10% disk space left.

Although NewEgg does have a combo deal on the WD Red Pro 18TB drives. 2 for $599: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Co...bo.4515818 $16.67 per TB is pretty decent, slightly more expensive then this deal ($16.25 vs $16.67) but less hoops to jump through and more capacity.

EDIT: ZIPFEST22 code works on the above making this a WAY better deal if you can use it. $14.16 per TB.
