Here's why I think this is a good deal. If purchased separately, it would cost $129.91:
DEWALT 18-Gauge Pneumatic 2 in. Brad Nailer with Carrying Case DWFP12231= $92.94
https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../204334593
DWFP1450D - 50 ft. hose = $36.97
https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../206350404
With this deal, the hose is free and a small discount is still being given on the nailer.

Anyone know if we can get the nailer for a lower price by not picking up/returning the hose?

You can always take advantage of the deal, then sell the hose on Craigslist or FB Market place.

What kind of tank/system would be best with this? Looking for inexpensive setup.

Holy crap. Also - how do you accidently put your forehead onto a nail gun?

That 2.8 scfm rating doesn't seem right, as most brad nailers are much less than that.

I use a little 1 gallon super portable and really quiet Hitachi, now Metabo HPT [metabo-hpt.com], compressor for brads and trim nailing, but my guns use far less than 2.8 scfm. If that spec is accurate, I would shy away from this nailer as it would require a much larger compressor.

Strange...it seems to be a problem with the slickdeals website. I tried fixing the link, but it still does the same thing. Click the first link the slickdeals post that it routes you to or try this one:

Looked like a good deal, until i realized cordless/battery nailers are much more popular now and seem way more convenient. Granted they are expensive, but seems like waiting until black friday to hopefully get a deal there.

If you don't the mind the extra size, weight, and delay of the battery powered nailers, they're a valid alternative that allows you to get away from the hose.

Personally, they're just too big and the delay is too annoying for me to be tempted to switch.

I have the ryobi brad nailer and it is so much more convenient to not have that cord. All I need to do is to put in a battery, the nails and go. With this, you'll need to fill up the tank, connect the hose, drag either the hose or tank around and then use it. It did cost more, but I have enjoyed the convenience of not having that cord.

I bought a refurbed ryobi battery brad nailer for $50 and love it, but i don't find it as a 1-1 replacement. It's simply too large to get into some areas and it's also much heavier. For quick jobs i don't even bother dragging out my compressor anymore.

I also would never pay the 200-300+ they want for the something like a dewalt or milwaukee one, they're smoking crack at those prices.
