Of course, the fact that a promotion like this exists at all probably points to tepid demand and concerns about oversupply. I'm guessing that we will start seeing some really good deals on PC components in the next few months.

If you're wondering how they're affording this, prices on DDR5 6000 are dropping like a stone and Microcenter is sitting on a ton of slower RAM in inventory. Might as well give it away to sell a much higher margin CPU and hopefully get full system build sales.
(To be clear, Microcenter is awesome and everyone should patronize them if they can, just laying out their reasoning).
