NewEgg has a combo deal going on these drives where you get $100 off on the combo making it $599 for the pair. However the previously posted deal code works on this combo if you are willing to go though the ZIP checkout. Enter code ZIPFEST22 and installment checkout lowers it to 509.99.

That puts the deal at $14.16 per terrabyte, cheapest I've seen for a quality NAS drive. With the coupon code this is also $90 cheaper then the frontpage deal two weeks ago: https://slickdeals.net/f/16039390-western-digital-limited-time-buy-2-18tb-wd-red-pro-drives-for-599-99
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Looks like they just killed the ZIP checkout discount

Still not a bad deal at $300 each

Also remember if you have a Discover card, you can get 5% cash back when paying through PayPal

Great price if you like ZIP, but I couldn't replicate.

EDIT: Looks like it still works, but ZIP won't let me check out (not enough purchasing power... wut?!?)

Try checking out, it's dead after you enter your payment.

Oof. That sucks. One more reason to hate Newegg.

It's not dead. You have to use ZIP as the payment method, then the promo code works.

I can go all the way to the point of submitting payment via ZIP. Since I'm not ready to pull the trigger, I'm not going quite that far just to find out if it works. If that's where it falls apart, then it truly is another good reason to avoid Newegg (as if we needed another). 🤷

Perfect timing…just started a new Unraid build to backup my primary Unraid server. I'm in for 2 and my housemate is in for 2.

I'm guessing NewEgg saves the 1.5%-3% credit card fee and ZIP makes money on huge late fees if you miss a payment by a day. I made all 4 payments upfront to avoid any hassle.
