This is press-board, wood chips and glue with a photo laminate finish. The only thing I would say before people bash this; Sauder is located in Ohio and is probably one of the only furniture manufacturers that employ US workers. It seems silly that we knock this but support imported furniture of far less quality. It is higher price, but the quality is certainly some of the best in this category and they have lengthy warranty with free/near free replacement parts if needed.

Good grief this sale is misleading. There is nothing 75% off and I might've seen 5–10 desks that were 60% off and everything else was 10%-50% off.

I know these MSRPs are inflated, but they could at least play with the prices to make this "75% off sale" look a little less misleading.

I bought the office port exec desk a few months ago for the same price. $250. Its a nice large desk, that so far feels solid. At that time amazon was selling the desk for $400.

It's been a long time since I've had to buy furniture, but all of my Sauder purchases from when I did, were well built, assembled properly, and lasted as long as I needed them. I've never had any Sauder products deteriorate on me.
