To be fair though, you can definitely beat the crap out of someone with one of these. I just think you could probably find a real metal/wood bat at Goodwill for $5-10 that'll do the job and then you don't have to spend $13 on a piece of Chinese molded plastic and think it's a slick deal.

I guess this is the best weapon that (may) be legal in NY and CA. But in the free world, ill take my 590. Could probably hit just as hard with it after 5 shots are gone anyhow.

Agree to disagree. Too unwieldy to effectively swing 2 ft bat in tight corners/close combat, esp with one hand but you know bud, that 34" is calling you. I'll opt for the shorty.

I wonder if it's also better in any potential court proceedings to have used a real bat instead of one that premeditates violence in it's name.

Ironically, in CA it's a more serious charge (felony) to be in possession of this than it is to be in possession of a concealed handgun (misdemeanor). Might be worth buying a baseball glove and baseball to store with it in your car to help your legal defense in CA.

I was just about to give the same advice especially if keeping it in your car, always have at least a glove and baseball with it.

Yes a 590 is made in many compliant versions, for states like that. Mine is not CA compliant. Drink another IPA bud.
