Good to see Amazon pushing their products today, but does anyone know if today (October 1) begins their extended returns policy? I know it begins some time in October and extends until January 30.

These bulbs are often not worth the hassle. Then again Amazon and Hue manned to need up their app recently too.
Agreed. Of the 6 light bulbs I have, 3 couldn't even sync to app and 1 went dead already. Garbage features. BTW, I can't even leave feedback on the light bulbs because Amazon blocked alll further reviews on it due to "abnormal patterns of reviews" by everyone. Of course, they're garbage bulbs and too many people tried to rate it 1 star.

I have 4 or 5. Two of them linked to the Cync app. The others work sort of with Alexa. By sort of I mean the app will say the bulb is not connected but then you can still command it so it... is connected. Probably too over an hour to get if that messed up setup.
I cannot stress enough how frustrating these bulbs are. Neither GE or Amazon show promise in improving.
Highly advise against Cync bulbs. Have had one linked to Google Home for over a year now, has spontaneously stopped working for weeks at a time, a reboot doesn't resolve the issue but 5% of the time. Sometimes works for weeks no problem, but I get daily notifications that my automatic routine to turn on and off the bulb couldn't run because the bulb is offline, whereas, going into the app, it is clearly online and responsive, but only sometimes?
Overall, 1/10, no integration with Home Assistant, IFTTT, or anything. And the reset instructions are hilarious. Here's a mock video to brighten your day since these bulbs won't. https://youtu.be/IlO6gtq8tqI
(As a side note, I've seen PACKS of these bulbs in clearance at Walmart for as low as $2/bulb and they just sit there. Noone wants them, but if you do, check out Walmart.
My experience with this last type of Dot/bulb combo deal: the bulbs are garbage. Keep losing sync and are hard to resync. Ended up getting a Hue bulb and has been rock solid ever since. Seems like with smart bulbs, you get what you pay for.
