I tried price matching with walmart, target, and bestbuy. None would do it for an instore ad.

My devices are split between Windows/Android and Apple. However, one of the main reasons I go with Apple for phones and tablets is that Apple supports their products with OS updates much longer than Android. Since I'm not an upgrade-every-year person that is important to me.

The Samsung S7 and S8 tablets are very nice products and Samsung has extended their support window but, in the end, Apple still has them beat. So that's why I stick with Apple. Especially since I tend to buy products about a year after release to save money and the support window is from when the product is released.

If you plan to upgrade within three years of the product's release than it is either or.

Can't get BB to price match. They honor prices for Office Max (which merged with Staples) but not Staples. I assume that once the M2 iPad Pros drop this fall then you'll see $649.99 more often for the 128gb M1 models like this one.

Just going to buy one now since I'm a total tech member and I'll wait out the 60 day return window to see if it drops again.

It will definitely drop from here. New ones should be out this fall and it will be very competitive this Christmas season as the economy has weakened.

It'll drop but not too much more than what this sale price is….pretty sure Apple doesn't want it to interfere with M1 Air sales which are priced at $599.

Yeah. I just picked one up for shipping last Thursday on OfferUp. It was $400 plus tax since the app collects sales tax when a product is shipped instead of picked up in person.

Like I said, you have to be patient though. There are plenty of people trying to offload the 2020 4th gen model for about the same price…
