Dated technology - but people still paying more than $100 as "deal" ?
If it meets all of my needs, wouldn't it be better than paying for for some new technology that I have no use for? And then when I need that new technology, purchase it then to ensure it truly is the new technology?
Yeah. I saw this too. But really old technology.
Also Google will stop supporting it pretty soon, just like they did with onhub. So think twice before you buy.
Just a spend a bit more and get Wifi 6.

I've had these since they came out and never had any issues, none at all. They never crash, I never lose connection, and I have a ton of connected devices. Most people don't even have an internet connect fast enough to to max these guys out, especially on a hard wired back bone which the new model can't do. The newer Google nest ones also don't support an Ethernet connection for devices which is very convenient for entertainment systems. Just setup a switch and plug it in directly to the Google device.
Another family member has newer TPLink ones and they crash all the time.
