Hello fellow SDers!
It's that time of year - time for the SD Lounge Secret Santa!
This is an annual tradition that started in 2006 and has run every year since. It's pretty simple: You join, get partnered with another SD member, and you buy gifts for them. Another SDer is your SS, and they do the same for you!
If you're interested in participating, please post in this thread, and then PM me your address. Even if you signed up in previous years, please PM me your address so I don't have to go searching for it.
I'll keep signups open until 11/13/22. That gives you almost a month to sign up, get your questionnaires filled out, etc. Don't delay!
The rules:
1. You must have been a SD member for at least 6 months with at least 1000 posts or 100 reps to participate. Sorry n00bs.
2. If you participate, you must send a gift to your assigned person. Don't be that person that ruins the fun for the rest. Santa does not want to leave coal in your stocking on Christmas!
3. Please fill out your questionnaire as completely as possible! Being cryptic just makes it harder for your SS to shop for you. We want you to enjoy your gifts!
4. There will be a $35 limit for purchases, (yes, this is a change from previous years) plus any applicable shipping charges. We're slickdealers - we know how to find some bargains. Use the site to your advantage!
5. Please ship your gifts no later than December 9 to hopefully ensure Christmas delivery.
6. When you ship, please use a service that has tracking (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc), and please PM me the tracking number(s) after you've shipped you gift. Insurance is not required but highly recommended in case your package gets lost. If you send items directly from a vendor such as Amazon, that's fine, just please PM me tracking numbers.
7. After you have signed up, please PM me the address where you want your gifts shipped.
8. Wrapping your gifts to your SS is optional.
9. Remember to shop and ship as safely as possible!
10. Please PM me when you have received your gifts so I can ensure everyone got theirs!
11. If you will be unable to ship by Dec 9, please PM me as soon as possible. Life happens. We've all been there. We'll work it out.

One SS participant contacted me right after Christmas and said they never received their gifts. I checked with the sender and they had sent everything well before Christmas and provided tracking numbers. It turns out that the package never was delivered to the recipient's home. I was working with the sender and recipient to figure out what happened to come up with a solution. In mid-January, sender's package was returned to them by USPS. So it was resent and just arrived today. This is why Santa prefers delivering gifts via sleigh and reindeer.
So here are the partners, selected by my DD by drawing names out of a hat (recipient is on the left, sender on the right):
Autumn's SS was redjen910
Finzz's SS was w3kn
iwearjorts' SS was Finzz
jpdiddy's SS was iwearjorts
ms. arteest's SS was jpdiddy
redjen910's SS was Ms. Arteest
w3kn's SS was Autumn
BTW, the [ spoiler ] tag doesn't seem to work anymore.
A huge thank you to everyone that participated this year. I hope to see you all again in 9 months for the 2023 edition.
