In terms of performance, not at all [rtings.com]. They're both neck & neck and offer basically all the same features.

The selling point of the G2 is it's super thin and mounts flat against the wall (it doesn't even come with a stand), like art, or like Samsung's Frame TV. So, from a design perspective, it might be worth the extra cost if you're putting it in your living room and want to pass it off as Art when not viewing TV/movies. But for most people, the C2 is the better buy. All the performance for less money.

Don't forget 5 year parts warranty + ATSC 3.0 for 4k over the air broadcasts. Those are the only two main benefits of the G2 series vs the C2 series.

We set up the college account yesterday. Soon after it was verified, I instant messaged someone via the app asking for the 20% off coupon. She seemed not all that familiar with it. After minutes, she replied it should automatically appear after 24 hours. I'm skeptical of her assessment.

Edit* this didn't work, maybe last weeks price. Had to fight with best buy to cancel total tech purchase
