Superman II is just as great, if not better. The villains with Lex Luthor - General Zod, Ursa, and Non - are fantastic in the sequel.

This Superman is in a different verse. We have multiple verses, and look how Superman and Lois are currently.raising their children in the new TV series.

Wow, I don't know how you knew that. I couldn't figure out how to access it on the phone. It did show up on the desktop iTunes with the extras. It says it's MA but I still haven't seen the extended version on its own after I bought this one. So basically I just paid $5 for VUDU access even though I have it on iTunes when I purchased the bundle.

Superman II was my favorite childhood movie. I was just old enough understand the movie. Richard Donner cut was bad, I never understood what the fuss was about.

As someone mentioned, the iTunes version of Superman:The Movie comes with this version as an extra.

You don't need to buy this unless you don't own the regular movie.

I'm not able to pull up the extra from the Apple mobile app. But I'm able to access it from the desktop iTunes. This was supposed to be MA, but after I bought this on VUDU it does not show up elsewhere. Weird...

I just tried on my iPhone 13 Pro Max via AppleTV player.
While playing Superman: The Movie there is a big Extra box next to the scrub bar.
I selected that and was able to launch the 3 hour cut.

I got the code via the 4k Blu-Ray and have all my accounts linked so not sure what is going on.

It's not weird Apple doesn't allow you to access the extras unless you have the Apple TV device.

The rare movie where the theatrical cut is superior. S1 is a masterpiece, no need for the extended cut IMHO.

The Donner cut of S2 was cobbled together as best he could do, including using actor auditions for some scenes. It will forever be an unfinished work, but is interesting to get an idea of what Donner had planned.
