To give one an idea of value the eight cameras are available refurbished for $75 each at the manufacturer's website https://m.reolink.com/product/d800/ . If you buy this, test the heck out of it when you receive as Amazon's warranty is a lot more consistent than reolink (for ease of return test it before you attach wires everywhere 😂)

Hi @LuB7875

Many NVRs include PoE ports, and if you plug the Cat5e/6 cable directly from the IP PoE camera to the NVRs PoE ports you do not need aa additional PoE switch.

When buying these kits, keep in mind the cameras will not work standalone like the normal cameras will. This is how they cut costs and give you this price.

Yes it comes with an NVR. The cameras themselves have limited use though. This is from the specs on the Amazon page: Cameras in the kit can only be used with Reolink PoE NVR. Cameras in the kit cannot work with Alexa or Google Home.

If you were to buy these cameras individually, they would be capable of being ran without the use of that NVR.
