I stopped playing after MK3. The controllers got too complicated after Super NES

I can understand your sentiment. NRS has actually made button combos much simpler on the newer versions of MK, starting from MK9 w/ 'D-Pad+1-button' move executions.

Have you tried playing on a PC with a keyboard? I find this way way easier for fighting games.

MK Trilogy / MK Gold was IMHO the best Mortal Kombat game.

Mortal Kombat 4 lost me when they ditched live actors.

Can 1-3 reach high frame rates? I remember noticing a big difference in how the arcade versions looked compared to the PC...

Stop recommending this lol. If it becomes too widespread then gog will give us the Steam treatment. What happens in fight club, stays in fight club.

This was the biggest letdown ever for me and video games... the live actors made MK insanely cool

Same here! I don't think I played MK4 even once, and that was after spending years pumping quarters into the first two. The real actors made everything feel more realistic, especially the violence. MK4 just looked like every other fighter game to me...

Agree. Even with next gen consoles and all that high polygon and high res texture count it doesn't have the charm as the original digitalize look.

Please make a new mk with 4k resolution of actors and 60 or 120fps motion photography

If they brought back real actors, I"d be first in line for a preorder.

Isn't MK Trilogy just the first 3 games like this sale? What's the difference in purchasing MK 1,2 and 3 over MK Trilogy?
