For only 17$ more you can get the 'Movement' version of this which has much faster reads/writes. Something to consider.

I've installed the 512GB version of these in about 120 Dell 3040 and 7040 Micro desktops last year (6th gen i5 and i7 CPUs), replacing the 500GB SATA hard disks that came with them. Much improvement in performance and I dont think any have came up bad yet. The DRAM option was in short supply and the prices were nuts when they were in stock. Only Windows 10 Pro and other basic components are installed on it, most of everything now is ran and saved remotely. These are basic office workstations, not anything intense like gaming. But for a little price, the difference brought a whole new life to these little computers.

It's SLC "cache", not true SLC NAND flash. It's otherwise in line for cheaper TLC SSDs

Assuming no shenanigans, these are decent preforming drives:

Always back-up anyways.

anu suggestions on an enclosure? I guess if i intended this to be an external drive (for mac os use) then the speed wouldn't matter as the bottleneck is now on the usb bus?

Got one as a secondary SSD for my media LT. Had a 512 GB WD blue ssd for my music. Couldn't pass this up.

I'm considering for something for my PS5. Would this work well enough?
