It's a bit misleading when they show you the entire bottle when you actually receive a tiny little sample packet.

Be careful with this. Love the products from this company but this gave me a really bad reaction. My entire face felt like it was on fire. I would suggest trying on the back of your hand and not be stupid like I was and start with the face.

"Offer valid to residents of the contagious United States only"

How do I determine if my state is contagious?

1. Yawn
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
AVOBENZONE 3% • HOMOSALATE 10% • OCTISALATE 5% • OCTOCRYLENE 7%

In other words, the SAME UV blocking ingredients as most of the sub-par American sunscreens.

2. https://ibb.co/x1DtvH7

There are a handful of newer UV blockers that extend coverage into the UVC and UVA range which UNFORTUNATELY are not available in American sunscreens.

Blame your future skin cancers and wrinkled dog skin on a FDA that's too reluctant to authorize their use.

TriasorB is one newer UV blocker.

3. EU/JP sunscreens utilize such and provide better UV protection across a broader spectrum.

E.g. La Roche Posay's UVMune 400 (imported from EU) utilises 8 ingredients that provide superior UV blocking vs their American counterparts.

E.g. Anessa (imported from Japan) utilizes 9 ingredients including physical zinc and titanium blockers for extended uva/uvc blocking.

E.g. Avene (EU/Canada) utilizes 4 new blockers for extended UVA blocking.
Why do you need UVC protection? Do you live on the moon?

This is just a way to get your personal information so they can market to you or sell your information to other entities. The sample is so small, it's not worth your information. Just purchase the product at Target or Walgreens (they often have sales and coupons) and return if it doesn't work out for you. That said, I love their melt-in sunscreen and highly recommend it!

https://hps.org/publicinformation/ate/q9450.html

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/...MC3709783/

UVC isn't simple 280 nm on up.

That's an artificial boundary made up by a human.

Most likely, there's a varying response to the UVA through UVC range by the skin in terms of damage and skin cancer.

Eg just barely in the UVC range might be a 30% danger, midway in might be 15% danger, etc.
(Not actual numbers since there are no studies that put humans under uvc lamps to create cancer on purpose.)

But what is known is that uvc is highly energetic, strong enough to KILL corona virus and such with a few seconds of strong exposure, so we know it'll disrupt the dna/rna and such.

So, given that we know there's a falloff for skin damage as we go from the uvb to uvc range, and there's a strong cell damaging effect of uvc rays, it's only sensible to provide some extra protection from the end of the uvb range into the uvc range.

I'm sure studies decades from now comparing usa vs EU sunscreen users will find a difference, but skin cancers can take years, so studies will need years.

1. Use a slightly different name (e.g. Barbara -> Babs).

2. Use temporary email services or a junk email account. The latter is smart because you have access to all the junk you've signed up for, but it will never contaminate your other email you use only with banking/finance, or the other email you use only for friends and family.

3. Use a temporary text capable, online phone number.

4. You can deliver things to work, a ups / usps box, etc.

Tons of ways to mask who you are getting freebies.

This brand is highly recommended by dermatologists. Probably one of the most expensive too. I have very sensitive skin and this still works great for me. Most sunscreens are HSA eligible too

Heads up - Make sure you use a dedicated spam email address for this. Last time I signed up for one of their samples, I never received the sample, they spam continuously AND their "unsubscribe" link didn't work for me. Fortunately, I was using a discardable email address.

They make good products though. This is the only sunscreen that actually works for my partner (extremely pale Irish/Scottish descent and burns super easy with any other sunscreen)
