$140 is their normal "sale" price. I've been looking at these chairs for a while, and it drops to that price often. It was just this price last week because of Staples chair sale.

How comfortable is the seat? I've wanted a mesh chair for a while because all gaming/racing chairs I've tried make my ass hurt after 20 mins of sitting.

Reminder: don't forget that you can stack the $15 off $60 coupon. I got it from joining Staples Rewards.

I'd like to thank OP. Been waiting for Hyken for months. Once I saw this, I pulled the trigger right away. Some people say $140 is the normal price for Hyken, but trust me, I've been searching high and low. Ebay, Quill, Amazon, you name it. Couldn't find one that is below $180. Inflation has been skyrocketing since late 2021. So I think it's misleading to claim $140 is normal.

Anyway, here's the breakdown of what I paid:

Merchandise Total: $299.99
Instant Savings Coupon at $160 Off -$160.00
$15 off your online or store purchase of $60 or more -$15.00
Subtotal: $124.99

Shipping & Delivery: FREE
Handling fee: $12.75
Tax: $13.09

Total: $150.83

Staples Rewards at Base level supposedly will give you back 2%. I also used Coinbase Card (4%) thru PayPal (4% but hit or miss), Bing Rebates (5%), and Ra-Q-10 (2%). If all of these came through, it could be as low as $130.

PayPal is really unreliable in paying out on their rewards, in my experience. Sounds like it's not just me.

Dexley pan was too big for me. I need to put a cushion to fill the slight gap between my back and the seat back for WFH mode completely upright . Hyken would have been a better fit. For everything else I recline it and it's great with the headrest.
I have the opposite problem, we should swap chairs Smilie. I wish I had bought Dexley instead of Hyken ..

Thanks for that, as I know nothing, and wanting to get one for my GF who is working from home these days and has a crap chair.

I wish I had more to spend on a Hermann Miller but reality dictates...
Hyken is better, unless the user is over 5'10" -ish. The Dexley is just a larger Hyken, with a few parts that aren't as adjustable.

Just replaced the gas cylinder in my 20 year old Herman Miller Aeron for $30. First repair and like new. I'm 6'4" 220 lbs. you get what you pay for.
Very true on "you get what you pay for." My Hyken's gas cylinder went south at 11 months. They refused to send a replacement under their "lifetime" warranty, because they needed some piece of info that was in those blanket size labels on the bottom of the chair (which I removed once I put it together). The chair was comfortable and cheap. But you definitely get what you pay for.

Literally the best chair for the money. I have tried a lot, even had much more expensive chairs. This beats them all considering the price point and knowing you can replace it whenever needed and save a ton of money with new chairs every once in a while.

Was looking for a new chair so thanks for sharing this! I didn't love the extra handling fee and would have picked up in store if that was an option to bypass that fee but it wasn't. I hope this is really going to relieve the back pain I have from the crappy staples chair that I bought during the pandemic

Just a note for anyone interested, I purchased that from Staples about 18 months ago at about $129 - this is the worst chair I have ever purchased - after 4-5 months the left armrest started to crack and then peel off - I called them and they sent me the arm.

When it peels off it becomes uncomfortable and itchy

After a couple of months, the other armrest did the same thing - I called they sent it - now both the replacements cracked and peeled off while it's out of the one-year warranty

Additionally, the mesh in the back is a collector of dust that is hard to clean without a blower that would need to be done outdoors

I would suggest paying a bit extra and getting a better one all-together
