Your have to pay $30 for the first movie then you get 50% off the second which is $15.

That's $45 for two movies. That's $22.50 each . its's not really a good deal compared to 2 get 1 sale.

Target's B2G1 for criterion movies is a better deal. Most of their criterions are $28 or lower so you get 3 films for $56 so $18 each. Criterion & B&N sale is $20 a piece with the 50% off.

Books are so over priced at Target…

Saw a kids book (one of the Diggersaurs) at Target and they wanted like $20 for it.

I got it on Amazon (new) for less than $10…

this is true, but there are often discounts/sales from other places on b&n gift cards (their own bonus gift cards w/ purchase of gift cards, happy cards, etc.), roughly as often as the target 10% off gift cards sales around holidays, etc., bringing down the total cost to a pretty similar range. it is still tempting to support criterion directly, though

I was able to order 2 books I had on wish list on Amazon for the same price at Target.com + 50% off of the cheapest book.
