I've personally worn the 880v11 (550 miles, first 400 miles running, last 150 walking) and the Vongo v5 (100 miles, stability version of the 1080v11). Also been wearing Fresh Foam More v3 (150 miles, think 1080s but even more foam):
Some thoughts:
- I'm a 9.5 wide and the 880v11 fit very well. Just a very solid all around daily trainer shoe, the Fresh Foam is soft and bouncy, but you get some ground feel on this shoe because of the lower stack height in the forefoot (18mm if I recall correctly). This is the "safe" shoe as I think it is the jack of all trades, but master of none. Would work well as a walking shoe. Oh, and it's built like a tank there's so much rubber on the outsole that it still seems to not be super worn after 550 miles
- 1080v11: personally have not worn this shoe, but there are some people out there who really hate the heel counter on this shoe, so beware. The newer v12 and the stability version Vongo v5 have a more standard heel. Lots of foam underfoot (but less than the More v3), so I'm assuming it will be a nice, cushy ride.
I've been using the 880v09 the last couple of years and have had my eye on the 880v11 for a few months. After retiring my original Nike Air Equalon after 1000 miles, I had a hard time finding a replacement that I liked. After about a dozen pairs that I just didn't like as well, the 880v09 were the first that I considered a comfortable replacement. Hopefully the 880v11 feels the same. Thanks OP, I'm in for one.
Are these neutral, stability, etc? Can anyone help? Recently switched to Hoka Arahi and love them but for this price would buy a pair of they're stability's.
Both are neutral. The 880v11's stability cousin is the 860v12. The 1080v11's stability cousin is the Vongo v5
Wore three NB shoes for a while. Only because they look decent for $40 on sale here.
Can't say they are performance, athletic shoes. Not worth 75 dollars imo.
Most of NB have very stiff arches and harder soles. It's like wearing Japanese wooden clogs or those Swedish wooden shoes.
Switched to Nike Revolution they had on sale for 36. Much more comfy.
I was able to get the 860s for $59 a pair shipped!
Thanks. Prior to running in the Asics I now have, my prior 4 pairs were New Balance. While I had one pair of 880s, really preferred the 860 for stability. Had gotten them as low as $45 in the past, but now $60 is a good deal.

Nope. My freshfoam 1080's are way more comfortable than any of my massive collection on ultra boosts but the sole won't last as long as ultra boosts.
Personally this is my recovery shoe and saucony speed 2's are my daily trainer.
I have 1080v10, UB19 and Nike Miler in rotation. I find the 1080's more comfortable and part of that is because you can usually get wides on sale. The UB and most Nikes are either not available in wide or hard to find so I have to go up a 1/2 size and it causes arch issues particularly if they have an aggressive heal clip.
I ordered one of these-hope they are as good as the 10's.
Also got an email from Paypal recently that they were discontinuing free returns. Do not remember cut off date.

Do you get refunded the original shipping charge if you return in store?
I think you need to go for the Fresh Foam More v3 ($114) which are not on sale if you want that type of softness in the foams for walking.
Their exchange process is basically return and rebuy. Not sure if you get original shipping refunded if you exchange.
Seems like they charge $10 shipping charge for returns and no cancellations once the order is in.

The 1080v11 are softer than the Ultraboost 21s (and 22s) and Triumph 19s
As for return shipping, I think if you pay with paypal you can utilize paypal's free return shipping policy.
