I think there will be a lot of these available.

And this is just a tactic to convince a lot of people who wouldn't install a smart speaker, to buy a TV with a built-in, always listening, Alexa device instead.

Add it to your wishlist. Alexa will notify you with a yellow light 24 hours before deal goes live. Once that happens ask Alexa to buy it once it goes live. You don't have to track when it goes live.

You don't have to use Alexa/fire (according to the Customer Q&A). I sure as hell wouldn't.

Roku stick or Apple TV box will work for me. And they're more responsive (faster).

Fire TV (built-in) is slower than Roku dongle or Apple TV box, and it forever gathers your info. You are the product.
