I think there will be a lot of these available.

And this is just a tactic to convince a lot of people who wouldn't install a smart speaker, to buy a TV with a built-in, always listening, Alexa device instead.

Add it to your wishlist. Alexa will notify you with a yellow light 24 hours before deal goes live. Once that happens ask Alexa to buy it once it goes live. You don't have to track when it goes live.

It was listed as a lightning deal. It literally told you exactly when it was going to go live. What it didn't list was the price it would be going for. Only us slick dealers knew that.

Thanks, this was actually helpful. Never heard of this blog site, but would have been nice to link to instead of everyone wondering where the information came from.

But, at the same time, the 3 a.m. EDT start time is not listed there and a screen would have been nice, if there was one.

I'll stand down and humbly corrected with the actual proof and reference cited, but my main point is having proof gives clarity, confirmation and ease of SDers sanity.

I'll admit that it was a little disheartening waking up to a 3AM alarm and not being able to get the deal, but to me, this is all part of the hunt. I don't mind that BrickSeek is not 100% accurate or that different Targets have different items on clearance or that you need Walmart+ to really take advantage of a deal. Sure, I may spend a couple hours of time (and some gas) going after a deal that isn't successful, but that just makes the wins so much more rewarding!

Thank you for posting this and I still have faith that it will happen at some point!

And I was able to jump on a couple small deals at 3:30AM that I wouldn't have gotten, so there's that!

I think it's because so many of us don't post deals that we don't know how there sausage is really made! This is especially true for those that only watch the front page or check-in on Slickdeals once a day.

So you saw both go live at the same time? I was refreshing on both but only picked up the 50" Hisense. I never even saw the 55" drop in price.
