Would it make sense to upgrade from the 6800h/16gb version I just bought for $1400? Still within the return period. I'm wondering how much of a performance bump I'd realistically get though. Seems like 16gb is plenty for most uses and the main benefit of the Ryzen 9 vs the 7 is just for overclocking? I haven't kept up as close as I used to.

Is Legion Ultimate Support better than Premium Care Plus?
I know we need to pick premium warranty for Lenovo laptops but not sure which one is better for Legion machines

Probably not as important as with other laptops. Although personally, if I want to web surf or do light tasks while unplugged, the laptops that only get 3-4 hrs of battery life are sort of maddening. Which might be close to what you get with the Intel version, here.
I bought this only for gaming when I travel (hotel room, airb&b, my parents house, etc...) so I don't really care much about battery performance. I am tired of bringing my heavy Xbox SX where ever I go and I have my main gaming PC at home with an RTX 3090. So for me, this suits perfectly. Great deal

Went for it, need something before BF and this will probably outpace my 2600X 1080ti desktop. Was able to get down to 1699.00 with the first time customer discount as well.

I would recommend to buy this model (1760$) https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/la...82rf000aus
with i7-12700H processor, which has slightly better performance
Also, the i7-12700H comes with 14 cores and 20 threads, with six of those being performance cores and eight being efficiency cores. If you're looking for gaming performance, the intel version won't make much difference cause you can't game on e-cores

I wouldn't. The Alienware specs are better, plus AMD CPU + AMD GPU are a major plus.

Got same PC with Ryzen 7 6800H. It is exceptional. I never cared about battery life in my life, but when you actually have it, it makes a huge difference. This is why I chose this over 12th gen I7.

Hmm, but how does battery life compare?
The AMD CPU has much better battery life by far.

Just wanted to say that these are excellent laptops with fantastic build quality and design. Have first hand experience with the 6800H, 3070ti version and it's awesome.
Yes same here

Is this much faster than the prior L5P with 5800H or 11700K and 3070?

I would not buy this. My Lenovo legion 7 3070 randomly restarts.

This looks like an incredible deal and I'm extremely tempted. I have a Legion Y740 from a few years ago and it's held up very well with a 2070 max-q, wondering if I should hold off. Maybe for BF or after.
