The First Tree is a third-person exploration game centered around two parallel stories: a fox trying to find her missing family, and a son reconnecting with his estranged father in Alaska. Players take control of the fox on a poignant and beautiful journey that crescendos at the source of life, and perhaps result in an understanding of death. Along the way, players can uncover artifacts and stories from the son's life as he becomes intertwined in the fox's journey towards The First Tree.

I have this and played through it. For me, half the appeal was just experiencing one guy and his wife's efforts to make an indy game. I stumbled across their story on YouTube and thought, sure let's see what they made. He built the game, she did all the music. They both narrated. I bought it on Switch. At .99 I'm tempted to see it again on mobile.
1 million downloads would be $700,000 or less, minus whatever they paid for the development of the game. Apple takes there 30-35% just for being on the App Store.

Then Federal, State and if you live in New York City, the government takes more than half of that. And if you live in California, they'll tax you about another 10% to spend your money. Apple & the government win.
Figured I'd take a chance for a buck. It's very nice looking, but I got bored and closed out within 5 minutes. It's not very intriguing, but for a dollar it's no big deal
