For the more power users: If these are like last gens versions, they may work well but they have a super limited admin interface. It's only accessible from your phone and the Google home app. You can still port forward, and the basics but its a little lightweight. Just make sure you do your research and check into that before a purchase!

Let's play a game, everyone. Who can guess, without searching SD, what product this guy is talking about?

That just doesn't make much sense. It wouldn't be cost effective for them or the consumer to give you a wifi system with a non wifi unit.

You should find a solution around it like using a switch for the closet that's connected to the main router unit that's down stream of router. Or maybe a 2nd router. like some ppl using orbi system as aps only.

Or find a way to remove the wifi antennas on that one unit. I'm sure Google not going to let u disable wifi on one of the systems.
Unfortunately that arrangement isn't possible. Google WiFi requires a physical arrangement of

uplink - primary Google WiFi - other Google WiFi

You must have the other Google WiFi devices plugged into the primary.

Can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Do the nest pro mesh network connect to each nest pro devices through dedicated 6E network? I'm assuming yes.

I have the NEST WIFI now with a "900 Mbps DL plan".
I get at most 500-550 Mbps DL on my iPhone 14 PRO MAX and MBA M1 on 5ghz.
Will this NEST WIFI PRO increase the DL speed since it's 6e(and 6 also)?

Lol Unifi is rarely better than anything, its just overpriced and average, with the big selling point a bunch of dashboards so if your in the whole ecosystem you can look at charts and graphs you will never use outside of when there is a problem LMAOLMAOLMAO.

Also same price I think not, $299 for one unit of the Unifi...

Yes I have used Unifi also have used just about major enterprise piece of equipment from Cisco, Arista, and Juniper and just about every retail networking product from just about any brand you can think off, so I got experience Smilie.
sounds like a user error. never once had an issue with any of my unifi gear and it is rock solid with no downtime months on end. go troll elsewhere

They are all identical units. Should have one ethernet in, one ethernet out. That's how my current Google Onhub router works (6 years old).
Ethernet in Ethernet out is a new one. It's a bi-directional protocol.

The hardware layer is bidirectional yes, but it's hard coded to have uplink and downlink.

Pass much better mesh systems that provide faster speeds and great range for the same rate or cheaper like tp link or Orbi.

unifi are so much better and the same price point
That's not true because they have the same weakness as everyone else which is their firmware is terrible. It's terrible because of strange management practices like forbidding engineers from building integration and unit tests which is insane and also explains the sage fanboy advice of waiting weeks before installing the latest firmware update

I'm also curious. I saw a review video youtube and it said that unless you have 6E compatibile devices - don't get it. You won't see significant improvements in 2ghz and 5ghz range. I heard 6E compatible devices would have super high clean speeds though. I have a new macbook air M2 chip that's compatible so i will get this new set just for that.

Only question is - can i keep two and sell the other two with no issues?
Buy, this supports all bands and as stated all your mobile devices and newer laptop will benefit from Wi-Fi 6
