Nice specs and great price. Reading reviews, the issue is the heat. I'd get one if I were in the market.

There was a 1399 deal for same laptop before but ddr4 version. May not come back but just saying.

Would you guys say this 150 markup worth it? Or are there other difference I'm missing

got an xe4 version 2tb ssd ddr4 ram for 1299. This laptop has some issues:
it is super hot around touch pad area even hwmonitor shows 55 degree cpu and 53 gpu.
it is not smooth at all despite having 12700h cpu and 3070ti gpu. I have to change setting in nvidia control panel to nvidia gpu instead of intergrated gpu (massive lag when play 4k video)
flickering even max brightness
hdr mode cause quick black screen when playing youtube video

Can I ask why you would need to touch screen on a gaming laptop just curious

I wouldn't consider this laptop as a gamer laptop primarily. It would have a full power 150W GPU instead of 105W GPU if it was. It wouldn't have such nice display either.

This is a productivity/content creator laptop primarily, that can be used to game as well. So a touchscreen might be useful to guys working in design, etc.

If you want to game, just buy the lenovo Legion.

This really needs a MUX switch and the ability to make either the 3070Ti or 3080Ti versions of either processor (i7 or i9) to actually get at least 130W. I agree with the theme of the previous comment about DDR5 pricing. In a few days Raptor Lake will be out so the price of 12th Gen needs to not be so proud.

Nice of them to include the hub, I guess, but built in Ethernet and HDMI would have been better.

The specs are great for a content creator. With just a 60hz screen, I wouldn't strictly call it a gaming machine.
I'm a photographer, videographer and editor. When collaborating with clients, a touchscreen works great. We scroll through selects for photos, refer to mood shots, etc. I have an art director that's always tapping screens to scroll around.
