Excellent fan, but this seems to be the newer model where they removed the ability to connect with extension cord the old model had if that matters to you

Yep. Depending on your needs, this model may or may not have some trade offs. This one is rated for 650cfm but has no outlet to plug in 120vac power. The DCE511B has the outlet, but is also only rated for 500cfm.

I have a 511 and just purchased this 512. For my needs, it'll be fine.

Thanks for posting. Been waiting on this to go back down to get a second one. When I ordered mine, it said it was the last one in stock but "more are on the way" so good luck to anyone else wanting one. Good price.

I purchased the RYOBI for $59, not sure of the difference? Also have a dewalt to Ryobi battery converter, works great. Also the Ryobi can use a plug

Thanks for this. Didn't know that was a thing, and was surprised to see some of the ryobi adapters even include a USB port.

+1 for still wanting the corded option

These are really super fans. Use about 3 of these outside. Picked up another one. The prior deal was from HD that included a battery and charger was a little sweeter, but this is still a good discount. And for the comments about waiting for cord, these can be powered with a simple extension cord plugged in. Very versatile fan.
Edit: no AC power on this newer model, sigh.

Be careful with these adapters. They don't provide any protection for the battery.
