I got this for my PS5 when it released. First off it's absolutely gorgeous! The attention to detail and the vibrant colors actually made me stop a few times just to look around. Also the voice acting and dialogue in the game is great. However that's the only thing I really liked about the game. As far as gameplay goes it took a bit to get used to just like any game but the gameplay never really evolved, it got repetitive. And for being called Cyberpunk Diablo, I kept looting the exact 3 guns over and over and over. There are also a lot of bugs and some crashes still. Hope this helps anyone decision in buying it tho! Hope others have more fun than I did!

Thanks for sharing your experience. That stinks about the gameplay since the cyberpunk aspect seems interesting

It's a good cyberpunk twin stick shooter. I wouldn't exactly say Diablo-like... if anything it reminded me of Ruiner. I agree with ImDrPepper that it looks and sounds great. But it is ultra repetitive and you will backtrack across the same areas many times unless you skip the walking and take taxi cabs for fast travel. Except you can't really do that until the later parts of the game, bc you have to grind your ass off to level up to even stand a chance at the harder enemies. It's rogue-like...like, but at least you don't have to completely start over when you die. And you will die, a ton. The first boss for example is a giant walker mech and is a real PITA to get past, you have to grind to level up your health and abilities and guns. Back and forth on the levels, grinding the same riff raff for hours and hours.

The campaign is fairly short, maybe 20-25 hours? Depends how much time you lose playing the same areas over and over to get past a boss. I would say skip the DLC mission, I "finished" it in 3-4 hours... except I couldn't really finish it bc of a bug. I never went back to see if they patched it up, I had lost interest by then.

If you like this style of game, it's worth $20. I feel like I got my money out of it (I bought at $30).

If you play, do yourself a favor and read some of the online guides, they help with pointing out the core abilities you need and weapon types. TLDR - put all your points in health and stamina the first 10 levels or so. And you really need to upgrade your weapons, and for that you have to grind for components. I never once bought a gun or armor, just collect the dropped loot. At least the inventory system is decent, and you have no weight limit so you're not constantly running to vendors to sell stuff. You can bank gear for a while and then just sell whenever you happen across one. Unlike say, Cyberpunk or Fallout where you have weight limits and are constantly juggling inventory. The guns are cool at first but eventually you'll wind up using the same 3 constantly, just switching to handle the enemy at hand. I found grenades to be clunky and not worth effort. Neutron beam upgrade is essential to handle the heavy mech enemies.

Anyway, worth $20? Yeah. I played solo, I can only imagine this would be a blast doing co-op with friends and would probably make some of the tougher enemies easier to deal with.
