For those who aren't familiar with Brother model numbers..... This is a refurb. That should probably be plainly listed in the post.

I'd trust a Brother refurb, but as lastwraith mentioned, it should be in title.

Doubt they're stocking them still, but back several years ago you could find these kinds of units on clearance seasonally at Office Depot/Max and Staples. (Store by store basis)

I got the $110 Walmart refurb brother printer last month. Now I feel sad I could've gotten scanner for about 40 more.

100% agree about Brother refurbs. These and the simple Brother BW laser printers are usually pretty bulletproof.
Pandemic pricing is still high on these MFPs (and printers in general) so this price on a reliable unit isn't bad, even for a refurb.

I thought that one is new, HL-2325DW duplex laser printer, no scanner?

My bad. Yes that is a new one.
But virtually no difference in quality when compared to brother refurbs, right?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Refurbs are generally fine but you never know exactly what has been "refurbished". It tends to often mean that they cleaned it up on the outside, and reloaded the OS (for a PC) or reset it to defaults, and then stuffed it in a box for resale. For printers you should get new starter toner at least.
So you still have some age/wear on all the internal rollers, etc. Does it make a huge difference.... probably not, but some people prefer a brand-new printer or MFP.

Brother refurbs have the same 1-yr wty as new.
Staples sold them alongside the new printers for quite a while.
You can dump the print history anyway... purchased an HL-2170 way back when, and it was basically new with < 200pgs printed (2 jams reported).

Would not expect the quality to dip much buying direct from their store.

Own it and used it for years. It's a tank that does a lot. Never an issue. Huge number of installs which is good for compatible replacement toner and support. Such a reliable good product.
