I would not. Totally ripped my carpet and doesn't pick dust from hardwood floor, just throw it back sucking partially. Never buy this

Yes, it's not a sealed system, there are YouTube vids of this. Vacuum some debris, put some of it back into the air. Reminds me of single hose portable ac units.

I wish I never bought it! It's like a toy and really cheap piece of crap. Does it work, yes But the hose and cord is too short. Gets stuck on some carpet Too much plastic fn junk

I think $10 more for this, assuming you'll wait for the price drop would be justified. I used the one in the deal for $40 too, and vacuumed a lot of cat hair for about a year until I upgraded to a robot. It cannot really go lower than this, if you have very limited budget and need one now and hope that things will improve in the future, maybe go with it. It sucks on the hard floor (not literally) and would just recklessly throw all the cat litter on the floor to everywhere as if cats can't spread it enough. I had to use the cord instead.
