Good deal. I have been really happy with mine for the last 2+ years of almost daily use during pandemic work from home. I use them with the Creative BT-W3 Bluetooth transmitter across several computers, for listening to music, video meetings, and the occasional Youtube video. I particularly like the transparency mode, which gives them almost an "open back" feel. Noise cancellation is lagging a bit behind more recent models (Sony XM4/5, or the Momentum 4 that was just released this summer), but still seems decent to me.

Might be a good deal since for Momentum 4 deal a few months ago, one comment stated this: sennheiser got bought out, one of their longstanding problems is making items so durable, they don't need to be replaced if well cared for. The new owners have made some adjustments to production and corporate culture, and be advised that this is one of their "new" product lines. ( he is talking about Momentum 4)

FYI - according to rtings website comparison, Bose QC 35 II is slightly better than Momentum 3, also lighter

Some comments. I have the Momentum 2 Bluetooth around ear headphones, and while the sound is excellent, the design is a bit of an issue for me. My head is shaved so I have to have these at a setting with the headband in almost a fully restrained position. The design of these headphones causes the metal slides on either side to extend down pretty low. When I wear clothing with high collars (jackets, sweaters), the slide rubs against the clothing and causes a loud sound inside. I wanted to explore plasti-dipping the ends, which may have solved that issue, but ended up switching headphones. Like I said, sound quality was excellent, but this was the issue I had.

Had these headphones for 18 months, then the bluetooth issues started to occur where the BT connection to any device would result in random static and drops. Obtained service with Sonova (Sennheiser) and eventually they replaced my set with Momentum 4. Their service department was very helpful for this process. Though I'm not sure if the BT issue was prevalent on this series. Sennheiser does provide a 2 year warranty. In general was very happy with them.

Fantastic headphones. For those of you wondering about this vs the Momentum 4, I don't know if you can have two more different headphones! They're *completely* different in sound, look, feel, build, controls, etc. Both good, both have their high and low points.

I highly recommend these, and for this price they're a steal.

This or Sony wh-1000xm5?

Have HIFIMAN HE560 with a IFI Signature DAC/AMP also have a Monoprice THX 887 but trying to find a good DAC to match it with.

no aptx HD and no LDAC on these. once you go sony 1000xm, you never go back to very lossy codecs.

I bought the M2s around this price several years ago and have been very happy with them, though the band does still cause some pain at the top of my head after extended wear. And they could be a touch louder at highest volume for Maximum Rockin Out, but this is a great price on very good headphones
