We have a couple of these. We use one near a nightstand that controls a couple different lights (a bright lamp and some much dimmer bedtime lighting) and a fan. Perfect for us there since we need 3 smart switches for those things. And since the recepticle they all plug into is behind the bed, it leaves all of the spots open on the other dumb power strip that's plugged in for things like chargers and such.
We use a second one at Christmas time near our Christmas tree. One controls the tree's lights, one controls the lighting on our mantle, and one controls a music thing we have by the tree. So again, a perfect setup for us.
We use ours with Google Assistant. I can't comment on the other platforms. The setup process in the Kasa app is a tad different than the normal smart plugs but functionality is the same once setup.
Struggling to think of a use for this. I already have a two plug weatherproof kasa one for holiday lights.
Debated getting this for my kids bedroom who is incapable of shutting on/off their lamp/fish tank light/white noise machine. Decided against it so I don't raise a lazy child and it was just for my own obsessive need to automate everything...but could be handy in similar use cases where you've got a lot of things in one area to independently control.
This is now $24.99 with a $4 clickable coupon for a total of $20.99 + tax. You can get more than one but you have to place another order. The coupon will show and you just have to click it again.
