if you want to add storage to your ps5 for playing ps5 games specifically then you need an internal m.2 drive, like the Samsung 980 Pro. you can still use these with a ps5, but you can only play ps4 games directly from them - for ps5 games they will only store them.

Thanks, I'm not quite sure the use. My bf complained he's running out of space and needs an external drive. I will pry for more information.

You will want both an internal m.2 drive and a USB external for storing ps4 games as well as moving ps5 games off the internal drives

My GOSH these things have gotten cheap. Sure, newer models are better, bigger, faster, but man this would have been like $600 a couple years ago.

I used the t7 for my ps5 to store and play ps4 games. You cant use it to play ps5 games off of it

Oh geez, almost half the cost of the console. We have a PS4 but doubt he'd touch it ever again since he has the PS5. I guess I will wait for a better sale. laugh out loud
