$550 being the Apple edu price
I know some people do more intensive stuff on IPADS, what are you doing that slows down your IPAD.
I am looking at getting an ipad air 5th gen or 6th gen , ... because I love my IPAD 9th gen so much ...
I am holding back because good deals happen during holiday season bf/cm/xmas time.

Well, I had the very first IPAD, when it came out many years ago. Heavy in today's standards.
So the 9th gen was the first ipad I bought in many years, very impressed with it.
My understanding is many people don't know how to use an IPAD device (casual users), I know I didn't when I got mine. I watched a lot of NEWBIE (new user guides and tips and pointers, and had to watch those videos a number of times , and condition myself to practice them, and I'm still learning.
Now, do you know about the 5 finger technique, where it brings all your current apps that are OPEN, and you can close out the stuff you are not currently using! I do that a few times a day or every few days. You will be amazed how many apps are going in the background. That will really speed up your IPAD. I am a IPAD newbie, and I'm TEACHABLE.
It is ok to have apps/stuff going in the background, if you want. If I'm using them currently I want them going in the background. Maybe watch Youtube tips/tricks ... because it really helped me.
I'm in this thread, like you, I was just commenting on what you were doing that was slowing down your IPAD. When I get ANY problem , I do search and find ways to "fix" it. We are both up to getting a "new" ipad, sounds like you are causal user, like me (from what you wrote).
p.s. I just did the 5 finger technique, and I had about 12 apps going in the backgound, wyze, browse tabs, camera, plex, and all types of stuff I haven't used in a few days, (eating up my ram! ...) Once I close the stuff I'm not currently using, the 9th gen FLIES! Also I remove apps and stuff I don't plan on using so I am using only 20 gb's. And if in the future decide to use them I can install them again (no problem).

A lot of casual iPad users are either exaggerating their concern or simply don't know the trick to keep their iPad being fresh.
