Honestly I like my old iPad but for some reason it started getting slow and I don't think this is my perception. I'm talking here about watching YouTube and browsing Safari at the same time. So no, it's not like very slow but it annoys me when I switch tabs and websites take forever to load while watching videos. I still recommend everyone the 9th but it is not good for multitasking imo. I think the whole performance is related to battery health and my battery is in really bad condition.

Weird. I think they have different policy for price match before and after purchase. I was trying to price match before payment

Excellent deal! Only $50-70 more than 10th gen, and it's more powerful + better screen. Camera placement is the only thing holding it back, but if you don't use much FaceTime/video calling, this is the best bang-for-the-buck iPad available right now.

Agreed. I paid $499 for this at Bestbuy last Christmas and still thought it was a much better value than a 10th gen.

Bestbuy has screwed me over on price matches for the past year. I feel like their customer service went to hell about the same time they changed the terms of total membership

I use one of these regularly for FaceTime or Zoom calls, almost always in landscape mode. The camera placement isn't a problem.

This is a great iPad for this price.

So I went to BestBuy and tried to price match it, the sales rep said they could but on check out the system didn't allow them since it was over a certain threshold. Even the manager couldn't override it. What they ended up doing was dropping it $150 from the price match then taking another $50 off an open box Apple pencil I was buying.

So effectively got the price match in store but YMMV. Prob just easier ordering from Amazon.
Now I'm debating keeping this or getting the new model for $150 more but with 128 GB and an M2 chip. Think it's worth it for light usage?

This is a great iPad for this price.
It's an annoyance, even Apple agrees (which is why they moved it). Apple never implemented the 'eye tracking' feature for iPads like they did on iPhone. You know the one where they actually changed how your eyes were looking at the camera even when they weren't. Crazy tech when it was introduced, dunno why it never made it to iPad, especially M1/M2 models.
