Bring on the SP8 deals now that the SP9 has been announced!

Not a terrible deal to start. Current price on MS website is $800 for just the device (sale price down from $1200). So it's essentially $100 for the keyboard and pen (saving a total of $180 on current prices).

I'm waiting for a good bundle on one of the models with more memory (16gb vs 8gb). Patiently waiting to replace my wonderful, but aging, SP4.

I'm also waiting for a good deal to replace my SP5. The battery life is only 1-2 hours so I have to leave it plugged in most of the time. It's fine just short battery life now. But would be nice to upgrade to a faster and powerful one.

I'm jealous. I'm lucky to get 30 minutes at this point. Wish the battery wasn't near-impossible to change.

My SP4 battery slowly died. So I kept plugged in. Then the battery buldged and cracked the screen. So if you want to keep it longer, only plug in when in use.

It depends on what you want. This is a decent deal because the 8 Pro alone might come to about $800 - $900 alone at least from what I've seen at Best Buy, etc. The service rep who talked to me said that the keyboard and pen are usually around $100 each. This includes everything for i5. But if she wants i7 then it would be more expensive. Microsoft is selling it pretty expensive as well. You can wait it out till Black Friday / Cyber Monday as well. Deals might be cheap sometimes.

i added it to my costco cart and when I went to check whats in my cart, it showed me 450 discount. ended up getting this bundle under 480 dollars!!!!
