FYI, BB has the same MacBook Air - open box excellent condition- for $703. I ordered one , received today w 1 battery cycle and warranty expiring in 11.5 months. Basically a brand new machine that was used once.
Great alternative deal.

For comparison I got the gold one for my daughter used like new for $685 with tax and shipping last week from ebay. Won't be needing the warranty because there's no Apple store in my country. This is a beautiful and quite powerful machine. My daughter does a lot graphics work and even her old 2014 macbook air with 4gb ram is still good for her needs.

I don't recommend anyone to get the 8gb model. I had the 8gb M1 Mac mini, which has the exact same spec and had continual ram issues.

For 70% of people the 8GB M1 should be sufficient. You must be in the other 30% of users

It is very good for 2022. The M2 is a minor improvement over the M1. On the other hand this was a significant improvement compared to the Intel MBA.
