Just fyi, you can still buy this if you don't have a Costco membership. It was just an additional $1.50, and shipping was free. Thanks OP! This will be great for when I'm traveling and cooking for friends and family at their homes.

Good looking knives. German steel but made in China 🇨🇳 in case anyone is wondering. IMO

Forged from high alloy German steel, the bolster free design is well balanced while the beautiful single mosaic rivet secures the handle to the full tang of the knife. A precise heat treatment ensures the blade is razor sharp with exceptional edge retention.

I have these, and they are fantastic and super sharp, and the case has enough space for a meat thermometer. I purchased it last year for $50. This is a great deal.

I don't have *these* but my kitchen knives are Cangshan and I absolutely love them. They're not as sharp as my expensive on-off knives, but they're a good quality and I expect this set would be the same.

Looks like Costco sticks in the "Elbert" in the set. I don't remember seeing it before.

Before it was 7-piece "S" series with cleaver. The new Elbert is 6-piece ( lacking cleaver ). Still a good deal, ordered one.
