Perfect for this build, I would even run a 3080 with 750w.

Looks good and tempting.
But cant risk it knowing only 15 day return window. Better to wait for ThanksGiving deals with return window until Jan 31st.

I am running a 5800x with a 6800xt on an EVGA bronze 750 watt, and it supplies enough, so a 3060ti should have zero problems even with a more hungry CPU.

This looks like a good value. Doesn't look like any premium at all for having it assembled, I am not sure I could buy the same parts at retail and build myself for less. I don't see any piece of the build that looks crippled, (you will likely want more storage, but just add another SSD or spinner HDD) to hit the price point.

Case looks good airflow wise with a mesh front. It looks like it only has room for 1 fan on the top of the case which is a little odd, but shouldn't cause issues.

Totally agree here with both comments.

1) Cost to build - the MicroCenter buy an 11700k and get a free mobo is the only way to significantly undercut this deal.

2) Igor's lab tested the 11700k plus 6900xt vs several comparable CPUs across a handful of popular games. Very rarely did it pass 500w total draw including the 6900xt. This even ignores Intel's recommended pl1 and pl2 power limits.

https://www.igorslab.de/en/intel-...stig-2/10/

11700k in general for gaming is about 10% less performance than 12700k and 7700x at 1440p while using a better card than 3060ti.

I know this is a small nitpick, but how hard would it be to replace one of the front USB ports with USB-C? The farther we go the more all the devices in my house use USB-C. My existing computers don't have them, and it always seemed kind of difficult to replace since they were jammed way up behind a bunch of other stuff and I've never done more than replace RAM, a hard drive, or video card which are all really accessible.

BestBuy has the model below as a similar comparison: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cybe...Id=6500511

Wouldn't this one be worth the extra few hundred instead? What am I missing?

That $200 more only gets you a newer generation of processor and then a smaller SSD with a small additional HDD. Not worth it.

If you were going to go up in price on this build, you'd want to spend it on moving up a tier in video card.

Link, please?

Edit:
Nevrmind, I found it, but the deal seems to be dead, unless I'm missing something:

Am I taking crazy pills?

You guys all really think $1100 for a 3060ti with a soon-to-be 2 generation old cpu is really a slick deal?

You realize it's not 2020 anymore, right?

This is a nice build and nice price for it.

I'm going to wait a few months… I'd love to see a smoking deal on the 3080.

totally agree.

even the HP omen deals with the 3070 cards for like $1280 on sale every month seems better and you can still upgrade the HP omen PSUs. cooling issue is easily fixable.

that being said, i will be in the minority and be willing to spend more and get the lenovo legion desktop with the 3070 card and ddr5 memory (at lenovo.com or at costco, which hopefully goes on sale by november)

Soon to be 2 gen CPU that is less than 10% below a $400 7700x at 1440p and even less at 4k? Provide context instead of BS. The 11700k is the equivalent of a 5800x in gaming. You cannot argue that at all. Thumbs down all you want.

This why Slickdeals is toxic. People make comments with no data to back it up. They spout and don't understand benchmark data. Look at benchmarks including Techpowerup. This is a solid deal and will do most folks well. Thanks to OP for posting.
