Samsung product page lists this as having eARC and Dolby Atmos.

https://www.samsung.com/us/televi...-za/#specs
There seems to be major issues with the unit... https://www.reddit.com/r/Soundbar...are_button
The Costco page states it's model HW-Q67CB which appears to include Dolby Atmos (as the 2022 model described here [samsung.com]). Coupling that with Costco's warranty it seems like a pretty decent deal.

Costco actually halted all sales for the HW-Q67CB so it looks like Samsung fixed the bugs and re-released the HW-Q67CB. Which, is great because you buy Samsung soundbars for reliability; otherwise, might as well buy a Vizio soundbar since they have better sound quality for the price but tend to have reliability issues.

Only the HW-Q700B (or Costco's equivalent HW-Q7CB) and above are compatible with the SmartThings app. But you are paying a premium for it since traditionally the HW-Q600B is equivalent to the HW-Q700B spec-wise. Also the HW-Q800B has a significantly better subwoofer so it is worth the premium.
Thanks for sharing that info. Do you have any link/source about Costco only restarting sales after the issues were fixed. Also sorry if I'm confused but I'm looking for reviews and I don't know what is the equivalent for this on rtings? Is it the q700b? Q600b?

From what I've seen, this really doesn't have Atmos. Costco messed up on the listing.

eARC is required for Atmos, and this doesn't have it.
Sorry but EARC is NOT required for Dolby Atmos

These were recalled and still not fixed. Good purchase once they resolve the firmware issue.

There was a post and picture on SlickDeals, but could not find it again, about the HW-Q67CB being pulled from shelves all Costco locations during the Costco Member Only In-Warehouse/Online Savings Event, valid from Aug 3rd - Aug 28th.

The HW-Q67CB is NOT equivalent to the HW-Q600B or HW-Q700B since those models have 2 actual up-firing speakers as labeled as 3.1.2 channels. The HW-Q67CB is a custom model; which, is most similar to the HW-Q65CT on rtings.

Edit: The HW-Q67CB is most likely the HW-Q60B; except, the HW-Q67CB has rear speakers included.

I had been looking at this one but the issues folks were having had me shy away.

I ended up picking up a Vizio 5.1 with Atmos from Sam's Club for $199 today. Like it so far. CNET had ranked it as the best Atmos bar in the budget range.

I replied in another thread but I ended up buying this a couple of days ago only for me to get a dud. I confirmed with samsung support that it was up to date. i ended up returning it and wasn't going to buy it but i asked the employee if they could tell me if that item number has a lot of returns but it didnt.

bought it again and it was working good.

can confirm that it has earc and atmos works well... almost as good as my vizio elevate but that has more of a punch than this and is 3x more expensive.

I had this and it worked fine for a while but then had connection issues. i ended up returning it and bought the vizio elevate and it also has the same software problems 🥴. when it works, it works great but it's inconsistent and frustrating to use at times.

i refuse to buy another vizio. you know it's a problem when their newest, high-end sound bar has consistent connection issues and has since it came out.

Is this a regular price in every warehouse? Its a bit of a drive for me to go to Sam's (only one on Long Island), but I am in the market to get one of these for my dad.

People keep asking over and over if it supports eArc and does it have up firing speakers. Can you confirm the latter?

Does this work with a receiver? Only see HDMI input and optical inputs, not sure if it can work with receiver. Any ideas?

Edit: I asked this is because my current setting is that all other things like Xbox etc all connected to the receiver, and the output of the receiver connected to the TV. My TV only has two HDMI inputs. I'd like to replace all the weird speakers with this wireless sound bar. However, I'm not clear how the sound bar work with the receiver and all other electronics.

Just a note to people. The item number on the new units appear to be different from the ones that had issues. Costco did recall these items so I'm wondering if this is actually a fixed speaker.

I listened to this in the store yesterday and wasn't terribly impressed by the sound. It wasn't very full and seemed a bit tinny, with poor bass. I feel like my $130 3-year-old Vizio sound bar has better sound.
A crowded warehouse with 30ft ceilings isn't exactly the right place to test acoustics.
