Take advantage while you can because you'll never just get a free breakfast sandwich ever again (with drink purchase). This is part in response to the backlash they received once releasing the modified rewards program. 🤦

Bingo on that... Formulating my plan of attack until dec 31 (followed by a likely heart attack) so I can take advantage of my soon to be unused dunkin accounts (bc they killed the BDAY drink) ... I have to make it through the free mobile coffees, then i will start on the free breakfast sandwiches, then its on to spend whatever points are on those accounts at that time--

You cannot dictate which reward to use as it'll just auto apply at mobile order checkout. So ordering a medium iced will make it free.

Ordering a large hot coffee & 10 piece munchkin will auto deduct the cost of the munchkins and then you'll just be left w/ the cost of the hot coffee.

What I am trying to figure out is how to use these deals while also using multiple $2 Dunkin T-Mobile codes. It looks like you can use in-store but you'll have to scan gift card(s) first, then the app as the app will do the coupon and payment from app at same time. I usually get about 5 of the $2 GC's so I try my best to not spend any "real" money so this definitely makes it harder.

So if get a $3 coffee with free whatever, do the order, then pay with one $2 GC, then scan app which applies coupon for free item and then pays the $1 balance.

Not sure if others have experienced the frustration of ordering a drink to arrive and it not be ready-- because they can't make it--- machine is broken or they don't have the supplies!! Uuggh they should have the technology to turn off items that are not available-- don't waste my time! Bye Dunkin!!

Yup, definitely saw that. It looks like it doesn't choose the one that benefits you the most, i.e.I have a breakfast sandwich and a medium coffee for pick up, but I have two rewards: free breakfast sandwich with medium coffee purchase and free medium coffee with order ahead. It defaults to make the medium coffee free based on order head, even though ideally I'd want the free breakfast sandwich instead

I think I will use my free coffee today so I don't run into problems next week. Thanks for the heads up.

Changing rewards is a growing trend. This morning I saw an interview with a business insider who worked for several corporate grocery stores. He said everyone is switching to private label instead of national brands. National Brands on average figure in 25 cent per dollar on rewards and perks and now they are under 10 cents. While private labels stay at one low price and consumers are switching to them. So basically everyone is switching to the generic equivalent and brands like Dunkin are follow the trends like Starbucks. So perhaps consumers will start to switch to their local coffee shops again.

Well yes and no.

I've always wanted more options than just "free drink" for 200 points - but depending on what you drank it could be a real deal - for example mobile ordering on consecutive Mondays, regardless of value (e.g. (2) hashbrowns ~ $2.xx) could net you 200 points that you could use on a $5.xx drink. (typically the large sugary or fancy drinks).

Now that's great value, but what if you don't want that but still want to maximize your rewards? There were never any food options - now there are, but they are crazy expensive IMHO - a sandwich is like 800 points? "Premium" drinks 900? Coffee is 500. Especially when earning is the same (10 ppd, but they do have bonuses the more you order).

I'd make a comment about what the above says about margins - e.g. if a large drink that normally costs $5.xx is worth 200 points, what does that tell you about how sandwiches are valued at 800 points? (the drinks are super cheap cost with much higher margins than the food, so they can afford to give them away).

Some of it was likely competition - no other fast food has a fixed rewards system, they're all earn points and spend it on various items.

Scan the app "Pay another way" first. That way you get credit and it applies any app bonuses/rewards. It even mentioned that in the app. Just fyi.
